Growth and improvement of education, that are not only the terms to give a title to an activity, in this case the guide brochure, are two key words that should be part of everyday life since the early years of the life of each, particularly when it becomes part of the community. The first step are the nursery and primary school, the second are the recreational disciplines or sports that involve our children. These are the first important moments in which children are measured with others, they must apply the rules that for a period lived just inside the walls of the house.
Parents and coaches become the first link in this process that the children, then adults, attend. They are their guides, their fixed points.
Sports, primarily, give the opportunity to apply these principles, as the rules of being together to give an example, in the field as in the locker room. The sport that educates teaches to correct the errors, the respect of others, the importance of establishing the same rules for everyone, and much more. That’s why events like the Tournament of the Epiphany, which involved hundreds of children from some Italian regions, January 2 to 5, in eight fields in the province of Padova, with final at Palaberta in Montegrotto Terme, becomes not only a time for the young lovers of basketball to practice the sport they love and make new friends. Become a way to share important moments of personal growth and sports, to test in competitiveness (the healthy one) of the players, but also an opportunity to grow as coaches, referees and parents.
The Epiphany Tournament can be a test case for other opportunities for discussion, and also the time to understand what you can improve. This is particularly true for parents and coaches, the guides of the small athletes.
