From today until Monday, in nine different fields between Padua and surroundings (the final will be played at 15.30 to PalaBerta Montegrotto), takes place the seventeenth edition of the minibasket Tournament of the Epiphany for these born in 2004 and 2005. The event, conducted for 15 years by Leopoldo Carraro, and that last year went to his closest collaborators, will involve 40 teams (including 14 from Padua and 9 from outside the region). This is the edition of the “record”: will be shot down, in fact, the wall of 8000 children and 500 teams in all these years have participated in the famous national Tournament. “ Enthusiasm and passion – the organizers explain. The Epiphany of minibasket grows and improves, thanks to the help and enthusiasm of many young volunteers, who each year try to make this event more and more organized and hospitable.” The participating teams are: Roncaglia, San Paolo Ostiense, Virtus Siena, Alta Padovana, Dolphins Dolo 2004 e 2005, Salzano, Olimpia Camposampiero, Calcinaia, Redentore Este, Spinea, Petrarca, Petrarca Castagnara, Riviera, Buster Verona, Leoncino Mestre, Trieste, Cmb Orfeo, Carmignano, Due Stelle Brugine, Gladiatori, Virtus Zanè, Inglesina Altavilla, Jolly Basket, Juve Pontedera, Marotta, Limena, Bassano, Eagles, Sarcedo, Favaro, Marostica, Vigodarere, Zero Branco, Reyer Venezia, Vignola, Mens Sana 1871 Bianca e Verde, US Arcella, Virtus Padova.
