MINIBASKET Record edition: first Reyer Venezia, the sixth Arcella Riviera
The 15 ediotion of the Befana tournament ended on Saturday in an overflowing PalaBerta in Montegrotto. The edition of the record, as pointed out with pride the organizers of Hurricane Basketball, which on 8 fields in Padova and province and Bassano del Grappa saw the starting 48 formations (including 8 from outside the region and Macedonians of Kk Tomas guests of families of Padua), was won by Reyer Venezia defeating 44-33 Trieste, third Mens Sana Siena 1871 victorious measuring the Leoncino (46-44). First among the Paduan the defending champion Arcella Riviera (represented by 2 teams), who finished sixth, eighth Redeemer Este, thirteenth Virtus and the other (Raptors Mestrino, Thermal Roncaglia, Cittadella, NP Dese, Vigodarzere, Olympia Camposampiero, Conselve, I Frogs, Hurricane, Union Vigonza, Mortise, Carmignano, Limena, San Bellino).
The tournament, however, for all the guys of minibasket was an opportunity for fun and sharing the values of sport. Two emblematic moments: the meeting in the theater of Barchessa in Limena for the projection of the NBA star, which was followed by the delivery of the sweets, and when the boys Macedonians haev stood up following the staff of Siena in the singing of Verbena, famous song of the city. There have been solidarity and fair play. The organizers have made donations to the Foundation Onlus for Fountain St. Martin in Kenya and were awarded prizes “Valerio Tontini” to the instructor Stefano Agnolin (Bassano) and “Alessandro Basso” to the player Matteo Rolli (Trieste) for their behavior and another special to Mattia Nicolucci (Virtus Siena) for his sympathy.
